With the final day of classes for students and gearing up to be out for the summer, South Bruce OPP are urging safety for the season.
Residents can expect an increase in pedestrian traffic with scooters, skateboards and bicycles taking to the streets and sidewalks.
South Bruce Staff Sergeant Deb McClure says officers will be actively patrolling, engaging with you in various municipalities throughout the summer sharing the importance of wearing safety equipment through positive interactions.
OPP say its important for drivers to slow down and drive with care around parks and recreation centres, people on bicycles are required bylaw to wear a helmet and reduce the risk of a head injury and ensure swimmers are always properly supervised.
