The importance of taking care of animals in need is one of the main aspects for Second Chance Animal Rescue and Sanctuary.
First established in 2021, Second Chance is a not for profit who support all types of animals from cats and dogs to cows and pigs though primarily their adoption is set for dogs.
Angela Parker, Co-Founder of Second Chance Animal Rescue and Sanctuary says when it comes to larger animals coming into their care, it all revolves around letting barn animals live out the rest of their lives.
“We’ve had some farmers approach us in the past who no longer had a use for the animal or were downsizing and looking for a safe place for them to live the remainder of their life.” said Parker.
The sanctuary offers tours of their facility to see the animals in their care as well as get more information around dog adoption.
