Severe weather prompting OPP to remind motorists about driving in winter conditions

It is beginning to look a lot like winter.

2022 started with continuous days of snow squall activity and bitterly cold temperatures.

Those weather conditions don’t make it easy for people to drive in.

South Bruce OPP Constable Kevin Martin says they are already busy attending to scenes of crashes.

Martin says drivers should clear the snow off of their vehicles before they head out and even when they make a stop in the middle of the trip as snow can accumulate on your vehicle while you drive.

He also suggests people who live along a major arterial road like Highway 21 to be prepared in the event the road is closed and you can’t leave your home as a result.
