The Special Investigations Unit has invoked its mandate after a police dog bite in a Meaford arrest.
Grey Bruce OPP were called to a disturbance at a home at around 10:45pm on Wednesday with one person fleeing the scene.
Police later searched for the suspect who was located just before 2am on Thursday.
During the arrest the suspect was gripped by a police service dog and taken to hospital.
The SIU has invoked its mandate and began its investigation.
