Charges will not be laid on officers after police dog deployment in Lions Head.
On April 14th officers entered a home to arrest a 59 year old man who was believed to be in the home in contravention of a court order.
An officer was confronted with a bow and arrow aimed at him on the second floor and after repeated commands to surrender, a service dog was deployed and bit and held onto the mans right arm.
Officers also fired several rounds from an anti riot weapon and conducted energy weapons were discharged.
The man was taken to hospital for a serious dog bite wound on the right arm.
Special Investigations Unit Director Joseph Martino found no reasonable grounds to believe an officer committed a criminal offence in connection the mans arrest.
