It was learned that Roger Cook is no longer with the company as of March 29th.
There is no word on an immediate replacement but President of SMART (and Hanover Councillor) Warren Dickert says management duties are being handled by other staff and the process is underway to find Cook’s replacement.
Dickert would not go into details as to what led to Cook leaving SMART.
But he did say the regional transit service will continue to operate as normal.
SMART currently operates in nine municipalities: Saugeen Shores, Kincardine, Arran-Elderslie, Brockton, Huron-Kinloss, West Grey, Hanover, Chatsworth, and Southgate.
