With so much snow on the ground and high snowbanks, this is proving some challenges when it comes to garbage collection in Goderich.
The town is reminding residents to not place garbage, organics or recycling on roads or sidewalks as this not only a hazard for drivers and pedestrians but obstructs municipal snow removal.
Residents are also asked to not place bins behind or on top of snowbanks, creating another hazard.
You are instead asked to place your bins at the end of your lane-way, next to snowbanks.
This may mean properties will need a space cleared so bins can be safely placed and picked up.
