South Bruce OPP were called to the scene of a collision on Thursday, July 6th at 7:48 am along 1st Avenue South in Chesley.
Police, along with Bruce County EMS responded to find a passenger vehicle and bicycle involved.
The bicycle rider was pronounced deceased at the scene.
A portion of 1st Avenue south of Chesley was closed for the protection of emergency responders. It has since re-opened to traffic.
The South Bruce OPP continue to investigate the collision with the assistance of the OPP Traffic Incident Management & Enforcement Team and the Coroner’s Office.
The investigation is in its early stages with updates to be provided as they become available.
The OPP are requesting anyone with information on the incident to contact Police or anonymously to Crime Stoppers.
