South Bruce OPP is investigating a fatal collision that took place on Wednesday afternoon just after 1pm.
Police received a report of the incident at the intersection of Jackson Street and Durham Street East in Walkerton.
They responded with Walkerton Fire & Bruce County EMS to find a vehicle and pedestrian involved.
The pedestrian was airlifted to London where they were pronounced deceased. Road closures were initiated around the scene to protect emergency responders.
Those roads have now reopened. The South Bruce OPP continues to investigate the collision with the assistance of the Traffic Incident Management & Enforcement Team and the Coroner’s Office.
