South Bruce OPP release results of recent Operation Impact Traffic Safety Campaign

The South Bruce OPP released results from their recent Operation Impact traffic safety campaign held over the Thanksgiving Long Weekend October 6th to 9th.

All available officers took part in the campaign which targeted aggressive, distracted, and impaired driving as well as not wearing a seatbelt.

Officers charged 48 drivers during that time of which speeding was the most common charge at 35. It was followed by 2 for not having car insurance.

Police attended 2 collision during that time of which both were property damaged only.

The OPP say that even though the traffic safety campaign is over, police will continue patrolling area roadways to deter risky driving choices that put the safety of others at risk.
