Inspector Keegan Wilcox took command of the South Bruce OPP detachment at the beginning of July.
Wilcox assumes responsibility for policing 3 municipal contracts and 2 municipal non-contract locations.
He began his career with the OPP in 2008 at the Huron County detachment.
A year later he transferred to Kirkland Lake in the Northeastern Region.
He worked there until returning to the West Region with the South Bruce detachment in 2016, serving as platoon Sergeant, administrative Sergeant, and acting Staff Sergeant – Operations Manager.
He was promoted to Staff Sergeant with the Grey Bruce detachment in 2021.
He holds a General Arts & Sciences certificate from Lambton College and has been a qualified Incident Commander since 2018.
He is currently completing a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science at Lakehead University.
