One resident was treated for smoke inhalation after a fire at a Southampton cottage on Sunday afternoon.
Twenty three members of the Saugeen Shores Fire Department responded to the call on Rankin Street around 2 p.m.
The resident was treated by Bruce County EMS on scene.
In a release, Fire Chief Ed Melanson said crews were able to knock down the blaze quickly with no injuries or loss of equipment.
He said the fire’s cause is still undetermined; however, it is not considered suspicious.
Crews estimate the fire resulted in approximately $110,000 in losses.
Melanson also reminds residents that working smoke alarms are required on each level of your home.
