The United Way Bruce Grey and the Southampton Rotary Club have teamed up for the upcoming Coldest Night of the Year Event in February.
The event raises essential funds and awareness of community members experiencing homelessness, hurt and hunger.
The memorandum of understanding sees the Southampton Rotary take over management of the event from the Port Elgin Rotary Club.
June Van Bastelaar, Southampton Rotary Events Char say they are excited to support this important cause as they have seen a doubling in the number of people seeking support at their Food Bank and over 600 people on the waiting list for housing in Saugeen Shores.
The Coldest Night of the Year is set for February 22nd with registration at Rotary Hall at 39 Grey Street in Southampton from 4pm.
