This after an owner reported the theft of their 2015 Ford Escape last Wednesday from their Winnipeg Road home in Vanastra.
An investigation determined that the vehicle was stolen sometime between 10:30 last Tuesday night and one the following morning.
A few hours later, OPP were alerted about a vehicle fire at a nearby gravel pit.
It was later determined that the vehicle was the one reported stolen.
Investigators are asking anyone with information contact Huron OPP or Crime Stoppers.
