Unveiling of CFUW’s Caring Bench in Southampton set for Wednesday at 10 am

The Local Chapter of the Canadian Federation of University Women is taking what it calls a small first step toward addressing loneliness and isolation in the community.

The CFUW says that the problem has reached record high levels in Canada and Saugeen Shores is no exception.

The group’s Caring Committee is installing a Caring Bench by the art school in Southampton to offer a place for two people to sit and share their thoughts and ideas.

The unveiling ceremony is set for the Gateway to the Arts, south of Town Hall, on Wednesday, September 7^th at 10 am.
