Sunday at the Clinton Raceway will see continued support with the 11th running of the $18,000 Vic Hayter Memorial Invitational Trot.
Vic Hayter passed away in February 2016 following a battle with cancer and while he is well known for the owner of Stratford’s Arden Park Hotel he also was known for his passion for harness racing.
Hayter owned Standardbred racehorses and was a regular at the Clinton Raceway with this Sunday becoming a day to honour him and raise funds in support of Out of the Ashes Big Animal Rescue.
Greg Hayter, Vic’s son says every year is an opportunity to celebrate the kind of person he was, remember the impact he had on so many people and give back to a sport and community that meant so much to him.
