Bruce County residents are being invited out for the Walk for Wenjack events taking place across the area.
The Walk was sparked by a national initiative led by the Gord Downie and Chanie Wenjack Fund seeking to honour Chanie’s memory and get conversations going around the impacts of residential schools.
The first of the walks locally will be August 14th at Cape Croker Park in Neyaashiinigmiing with more walks planned in October.
All are free to attend starting at 1pm with donations to the Nawahs Food Bank being accepted.
