Walk for Wenjack is set up later this month at Station Beach in Kincardine.
The Walk was sparked by a national initiative led by the Gord Downie and Chanie Wenjack Fund seeking to honour Chanie’s memory and get conversations going around the impacts of residential schools.
The 2km route from Station Beach to Dunsmoor Park will have participants encounter reflection stops, highlighting Wenjack’s journey in his attempt to return home.
The Walk for Wenjack takes place September 27th at 1pm.
