Apparently, a driver in Saugeen Shores believed that would be the case.
Police were called about an erratic driver who struck a pedestrian at the Sanctuary Park Cemetery Tuesday morning around 9:10.
Officers located the vehicle in several locations in Port Elgin.
Each time an officer made attempts to stop the vehicle only to have it sped away.
No chase was ensued due to what they say was the dangerous manner of the vehicle being driven.
Investigators say the vehicle at one-time almost collided head-on with a police cruiser.
The 35-year-old was eventually arrested and charged, and was later released with a future court date.
