The Western Ontario Municipal Conference last week saw provincial and municipal leaders came together, chatting about regional priorities.
Hosted by the Western Ontario Wardens Caucus at the Delta Guelph Hotel took on the theme Growth with Purpose: Investing in People, Places and Potential.
The gathering on October 15th looked over how municipalities can respond to growing demands for housing, infrastructure, workforce development and essential community services while planning for long term regional growth.
Marcus Ryan, Chair of the WOWC says the challenges we face from housing to homelessness to workforce shortages and essential services cannot be addressed in isolation.
