2 Suspects Arrested Following Armed Robbery in Saugeen First Nation Last Night

Two were arrested with the assistance of the West Region Emergency Response Team, Canine and Tactics & Rescue Units.

Grey Bruce OPP have arrested two people following an armed robbery in Saugeen First Nation last night.

Police were called to the scene at around 8:40 pm on report of an armed robbery in progress at a business on Highway 21 in Saugeen First Nation.

Officers arrived on the scene, and a suspect was taken into custody.

Members of the West Region Emergency Response Team, Canine and Tactics & Rescue Units responded to the area and a second suspect was later arrested.

Both remain in custody pending a bail hearing in Walkerton.

Members of various departments of the OPP remain on the scene and are continuing to investigate.

Members of the public can expect an increased police presence for several hours.

Highway 21 has re-opened. Police will provide more info as it becomes available.
