Tomorrow is the Saturday before Labour Day so Kincardinites know what that means: it’s time for the Annual Gathering of the Bands.
This weekend is the 31st anniversary of the Kincardine Scottish Pipe Band inviting all area drummers, pipers and public to march with them in the Mass Parade.
The Stromness Legion Pipe Band is coming all the way from Scotland to take part, along with bands from Toronto, Sarnia, Ingersoll and more.
Karlee Woodward, Tourism coordinator for Kincardine says it’s a good-tie in with the Marine Heritage Festival, that also runs Saturday.
Entertainment will run from noon until 8 p.m., when the parade begins.
