The Nuclear Innovation Institute’s Built to Lead event say a great turnout of students all aimed to inspire young women’s future careers in skilled trades.
More than 350 students over the day cut sheet metal, styled hair, used a CNC router, changed tires and tested virtual welding skills.
With the support of more than 30 local unions, employers and community training organizations.
Jessica Linthrone, NII President and CEO says events like this to show young women that there’s a place for them in the trades.
