Police say one person is in hospital with life threatening injuries after an incident at FE Madill Secondary in Wingham.
On April 7th just after 8am, Huron County OPP responded alongside Huron County EMS and the North Huron Fire Department of someone who was on fire at the high school.
The victim was taken by Ornge Air to a trauma centre and is stable but critical condition. The school remains closed with students shifting to remote learning for the rest of the week.
In response a range of support services are being provided to students, parents and staff including the school boards Tragic Events Response Support Team.
Authorities are investigating the cause and asking anyone who might have video of the incident to not distribute it.
