The Grey Bruce health unit are asking potential COVID-19 carriers to go to an assessment centre to get tested.

They say there have been several people who have used the rapid antigen testing kits to determine whether or not they have COVID-19.

The health unit says while the test kits are a helpful tool, it must be used under specific circumstances.

They say the kits must not be used as a diagnostic tool as it has a high failure rate.

They are urging those who show symptoms to book an appointment to get tested.
