A new subsidiary of Bruce Power will see more initiatives meant to work towards a carbon neutral society.
Bruce Power Net Zero Incorporated was officially launched Thursday.
In a news release, President and CEO Mike Rencheck says this moves us one step closer to achieving net zero by 2027.
He says they will build off Bruce Power’s foundational nuclear output as a key enabler of decarbonization, and engage with other businesses that are aiming to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
The company also announcing a $250,000 commitment over the next five years to Plug’n Drive, a non-profit organization promoting the use of electric vehicles.
