The Bruce County Museum and Cultural Centre are doing something for Treaties Recognition Week.

They are providing educational materials for teachers and the public to access through its online education centre.

Resources include a video by Anishinaabe Historian Trish Meekins from Saugeen Ojibway Nation explaining the treaties.

These educational tools are designed to inform the public about the 150-year history of treaties, how treaties affect the people and the lands, and the many different lenses through which treaties are viewed.

More information about Treaties Recognition Week and access to materials can be found by going to the Bruce County Museum’s website.
