Saugeen Shores Fire Chief will be moving up the road.
Phil Eagleson will be taking over as fire chief for the City of Owen Sound.
He will oversee all aspects of the Owen Sound Fire & Emergency Services, including the operation and management of the fire hall and 29 full-time staff.
Eagleson has spent 22 years in fire services in both an administrative and operational capacities.
He started his career as a volunteer firefighter in Saugeen Shores in 1999.
Eagleson’s first day in his new role is November 22, 2021.
