The Town of Goderich has announced new rules when it comes to the pickup of bulk items as part of their waste collection. Weekly curbside pickup of bulk items stopped as of November 1st.
Now these items will be picked up 4 times a year on pre-scheduled days.
There is a maximum of 6 bulk items per household per scheduled bulk item collection day.
The dates remaining this year are Monday, November 15th and Monday, December 13th.
The dates for 2022 along with the list of acceptable and un-acceptable types of items are below.

- Carpeting/Linoleum (tie and bundle, no more than 5 feet in length and less than 100)

- Dressers
- Game Tables
- Infant Car Seats
- Lamps
- Large Plastic Household Items
- Large Plastic Toys
- Suitcases, Trunks and Chests
- Outdoor Plastic Furniture
- Wooden Items
- Patio Umbrellas
- Plastic Auto Parts
- Plastic Pails, Buckets, Cans and Baskets
- Plastic Coolers
- Plastic Lawn Edging

- Air Conditioners and Dehumidifiers
- Fences posts or railway ties
- Electronic Waste
- Hazardous Waste (chemicals, paints, etc.)
- Propane Tanks
- Tires
- Tree stumps
- Concrete and Bricks
- Automobile Parts

- Any liquids
