The Maitland Valley Conservation Authority have issued a water safety statement.
They say strong winds and saturated soil along with waves, expected to reach 3 to 4 metres high, could pose erosion risk along the Lake Huron shoreline.
They say while they don’t expect significant flooding, the high waves and recent rainfall will cause additional erosion and the potential for bluff failure.
Residents are being asked to stay away from breaking waves and top-of-bluff areas.
The statement took effect on Monday and will remain in effect until Tuesday at Noon .
