The Multicultural Association of Perth-Huron is helping newcomers in the area prevent spreading COVID-19 for those who are still hesitant to get vaccinated.
Currently more than 20 per cent of 5000 newcomers to Perth, Huron, Wellington and Middlesex counties are still unvaccinated which the Multicultural Association is hoping to stop any spread of the virus by delivering rapid antigen test kits to around 60 newcomer households in the areas they serve.
Testing kits are made available from local chamber of commerce.
The Multicultural Association has also held meetings with community leaders and health care professionals to share with newcomers any concerns about the COVID-19 vaccine in hopes they will get vaccinated.
