Most homes along the Lake Huron shoreline and inland have their power restored.

A fierce wind storm on Saturday knocked out power leaving around 200,000 homes in the dark including Kincardine, Saugeen Shores, and Goderich.

Hydro crews have been working around the clock assessing damage and getting power restored.

Hydro One said on their website on Sunday that they should have all power restored by 11 that evening.

Winds whipped across the region on Saturday, some as high as 100 kilometres per hour.

The outage spread across Southern and Eastern Ontario going as far north as North Bay.
