The Staff for the Municipality of Kincardine presented their Draft 2022 Budget to Council today that includes a proposed tax rate increase of 6.8%.
This turns out to an average increase of $138 per year for homeowners.
The budget will see expenditures on such things as operations fleet replacement of $700,000.
Over the next 5 years the Fire Department is set for just under $4 million dollars investment in its fleet.
In terms of funding for current and future capital and infrastructure repairs and replacement there is $3.81 million being used from the Lifecycle Reserve Fund.
Other funding increase include tools and technology, community organizations, risk protection and investments in the physical care of residents.
