The Canadian Food Inspection Agency announced a recall on Saturday that will see some salad kits sold under the Dole and President’s Choice brand recalled because of possible Listeria contamination.
The affected products are said to not smell or look bad but can still cause sickness.
Those at greatest danger says the Agency are elderly, immunocompromised or pregnant as they are most at risk of severe cases of the illness that can lead to death.
Ingesting listeria they say can cause vomiting, nausea, persistent fever, muscle aches, severe headaches and neck stiffness.
