More than half of the residents in Grey Bruce received their COVID-19 booster shot.
The Grey Bruce Health Unit announced that over 55 percent of eligible residents (about 79,000) have three doses of the COVID-19 vaccine.
In a news release, the health unit says the vaccine task force were successful in the vaccine rollout which included the hockey hub mass vaccination clinic, pharmacies, hospitals, and long-term care.
They want to thank staff, volunteers, and partners who have supported the rollout efforts especially Grey and Bruce County Paramedics and volunteers for operating the municipal clinics this month to allowed health unit staff to attend to the hubs.
