Drug trafficking investigation in Vanastra nets cocaine, meth, and fentanyl

Five people are facing charges in drug bust in Vanastra.

Huron-Perth OPP Community Street Crimes Unit were conducting a drug trafficking investigation.

They along with the Oxford-Brant Community Street Crimes Unit and the West Region Emergency Response Team executed a search warrant at a home on 12th Street Friday night.

Once inside, officers seized a quantity of methamphetamine, fentanyl, and cocaine with an estimated value of $4,876.

They also found cell phones, digital scales, drug trafficking materials, and cash.

Two men from Central Huron, 31 and 52 years of age respectively, a 44-year-old man from Huron East, and two women, a 29-year-old from South Huron and a 37-year-old from North Huron were arrested and later released.

All five will appear in a Goderich court on March 28th.
