The Huron Chamber of Commerce issued an update to local businesses this afternoon in regards to a large-scale truck convoy against vaccine mandates that is set to roll through the area on Saturday morning.

The Chamber says information changes by the hour but at the time of issuing the update they expect it to begin in Goderich between 10 and 11 am.

They say little is known about the exact route, timing and number of vehicles. The Chamber says to expect delays when moving through Goderich, including possibly the Courthouse Square and other communities in the County.

They advise area businesses to possibly consider delaying their opening on Saturday.

They add that Officials don’t expect the vehicles to linger and say the Huron OPP will be monitoring the convoy from a distance to make sure everything is moving along.
