A Saugeen Shores Police officer has been nominated for Police Association of Ontario Police Services Hero of the Year Award.

Constable Ian Clark was nominated by a member of the community for making a difference in the lives of children.

The nominator recalls Constable Clark when he was teaching grades 3 and 4 students in schools about the dangers of street drugs.

They say students who took part in his presentation still remembers Clark and is doing a great job as a police officer.

Clark is also up for Community Role Model of the Year.

Police Services Hero of the Year Awards program provides the public with an opportunity to nominate and recognize a member of a police force for the work they do on behalf of Ontarians.

Nominations are being accepted until March 14th at PoliceHero.ca.

Winners will be announced at the PAO’s Annual General Meeting this June.
