There was plenty of interest in a virtual public meeting on short-term rentals in Goderich.

Around 20 people spoke to Council at the public meeting Tuesday with another 30 written submissions.

Mayor John Grace says it was a wholesome discussion on the matter with both sides equally represented.

Grace reiterated that this meeting was to gather information, and Council will take its time to determine whether short-term rentals will be a challenge or benefit the community.

A task force was established back in November to look into recommendations on how to deal with short-term rentals or AirBnBs.
