Grey Bruce Health Services announced recently that starting tomorrow, March 2nd, they are launching a pilot project offering virtual urgent care appointments.
The service will allow qualified patients to have access to a virtual visit with a physician from the comfort of their own home. Paitents must have their own device with audio and video capabilities.
The pilot partnership is with Maple, a leading Canadian provider of virtual healthcare solutions.
There will be approximately 10 same-day virtual appointments availalbe three times weekly on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays between noon and 5pm.
Appointments are booked the same day they wish to see a doctor.
Registration for that days appointments opens at 11 am.
Virtual visits are free for Grey Bruce residents with a valid OHIP card.
