The Municipality of Kincardine announced that in alignment with the Province and Public Health guidelines the masking requirement will be removed for all Municipality Facilities for both visitors and staff effective March 21st.

The move was announced on March 9th with the exemptions being public transit, long term care, retirement homes and other health-care settings, shelters, jails and congregate care and living settings.

Those are expected to see masking removed on April 27, 2022.

Dr. Ian Arra, Medical Officer of Health for Grey-Bruce says that with both provincial and local public health indicators continuing to improve and based on current vaccination rates, the timing is right to end the universal requirement for masking in indoor public places that are not considered high-risk.
