There were two winners of this year’s Women of Distinction award.
Former Kincardine Mayor Anne Eadie (left) and businesswoman Meag Durkin were co-winners as a result of a tie in voting.
Michelle Lamont of Women’s House Serving Bruce and Grey says Eadie was nominated for how she was able to pave the way for women in local politics.
Lamont says Durkin, owner of Grey Matter Brewing Company in Kincardine, is another who leads by example.
Lamont says there was no one nominated for Young Women of Distinction this year.
She says over 26 hundred dollars was raised from donations and silent auction at their March 8th virtual event as part of International Women’s Day.
