Thomas Gibbons of Southampton is celebrating after winning an Ontario 49 top prize worth $2 million dollars in the December 29, 2021 draw.
The 42 year old is a small business owner and father of three, and says he plays the lottery twice a week and chooses both Quick Pick and his own numbers.
The last prize he won playing was $2,500 a few years ago but says when he shared the news with friends and family they were shocked and happy.
He plans to pay off his mortgage, purchase a pool for his kids and invest.
The winning ticket was purchased at Ralph’s on Goderich Street in Port Elgin.
