Families for Autism are installing Communication Boards across Grey and Bruce Counties in areas such as parks to offer a resource for children when they are out and about in the community so they can feel more comfortable. Stephanie Serenko, President of Families for Autism explains.

“So they range in size and we have some giant ones in some parks right now. They are what we call PECS card. It is everything from saying I need help, to I would like to go  onto the swing, slide, water, I am happy, sad, I need assistance, I am hungry. It literally anything they need to communicate.”

Families for Autism has their largest fundraiser of the year coming up this fall. The 4th Annual Autism Awareness Golf Tournament Fundraiser is Saturday, September 17th  at the Sauble Golf & Country Club.
