Saugeen Shore’s Town Pond now Open for Those 16 years and Younger

The Pond is a catch and release location with a take-home limit of 2 fish per day.

The Town of Saugeen Shores and the Saugeen Shores Police Service is advising residents that Town Pond is now open to those persons 16 years and younger.

The pond is located at 581 Upper Avenue in Port Elgin.

The fishing season runs from May 1st until June 30th.

They add that the pond is a catch and release location with a take-home limit of 2 fish per day.

The Rainbow Trout in the pond are supplied and released for young fisherman’s enjoyment by the Lake Huron Fishing Club and the Ontario Steelheaders.
