With the pricing of homes remaining relatively high local homebuyers are having to get creative in what they consider for what could be their first home purchase.
A local home builder who is catering to tiny footprint homes is hoping their business can offer a viable alternative to homeownership at a lower cost.
Tiny Footprint Homes President and COO Josh Batkin says he himself is purchasing a tiny home for his property to offer a place to live for a relative.
“My wife and I have a big enough property in Clinton where we are able to do that. We are going to rent it out to my mother. So it’s going to be a guinea pig experiment and it’s going to be the first, in my understanding, in Clinton.”
