On May 11th, the Grey Bruce OPP Community Street Crimes Unit with the assistance of the Wellington County and Huron Perth Units and the OPP West Region Emergency Response Team executed a search warrant at a property in Meaford.
As a result of the investigation, the Grey Bruce OPP have arrested and charged a 43 year old female of Meaford and charged her with possession of a Schedule 1 substance for trafficking and unauthorized possession of a weapon.
Also arrested and charged was an 18 year old also of Meaford with possession of a schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking, possess of cannabis for the purpose of selling and distributing.
A search of the property resulted in a seizure of suspected controlled substances, offence related property and a weapon. Total value was $32,437.
The two accused were released with an appearance at an Owen Sound court set for a later date.
