Elections Ontario say there was an increase in turnout to advanced polls

It appears more people took advantage of advanced voting ahead of the June 2nd provincial election.

According to Elections Ontario, 1,066,545 votes were cast during the ten days of advanced polls that ended on Saturday.

That represents 9.92 percent of eligible voters in Ontario.

In the 2018 provincial election, 698,609 votes were cast, or 6.8 percent of eligible voters, during a five-day advanced voting period.

Those who opted to vote by mail, Elections Ontario must receive your completed ballot by 6 PM Thursday.
