The Lake Huron Coastal Centre is looking for volunteers to become a Green Ribbon Champion by protecting Lake Huron’s beaches and beach-dune ecosystems.

This free program is in need of volunteers to help conserve and protect wildlife found in a dune environment

Restoring sand dunes is important as they can help protect property from flooding during high wind and wave storms.

If you live near the shoreline in the Township of Huron-Kinloss, the Municipality of Kincardine, or the Town of Saugeen Shores, or if you just want to learn more, you can register to protect sand dunes here.
