Town of Saugeen Shores shares tips for Safe Boating during Drowning Prevention Week

The Town of Saugeen Shores shared some tips for safe boating on their social media this afternoon.

The awareness campaign is part of National Drowning Prevention Week this week.

In the post, they say that Alcohol or drugs and water do not mix. They say don’t risk it.

Alcohol is the number 1 intoxicant contributing to drowning deaths in Canada each year.

They advise to always boat sober, don’t drink and drown.

The campaign continues until Saturday.
